Terms of Sale

Your postcards

• Each set includes 12 postcards with the same photo, design and words, plus a thank-you note from us, packed in one envelope.
• Every set is made to order from what you design on our website. The preview shows how your postcard will look; colors on paper can look slightly softer than on a screen.
• Our Santa hat placement is automatic and may need your adjustment. Please check your preview before you order.

Prices, tax and the extra-set discount

• A set costs $12.99 in US dollars, plus any sales tax, which is shown at checkout.
• Every set after the first in the same order is 20% off ($10.39). This includes extra copies of the same set. The discount applies within a single order only. It can’t be added to an earlier order or combined with other offers.
• Shipping to US addresses is free.
• The First 500 is open until December 1, 2026 at 11:59 pm Pacific time, or until 500 families have ordered, whichever comes first.

Your photos and words

• You keep all rights to your photos and words.
• By ordering, you confirm that you took the photo or have permission to use it, and that it doesn’t break any law or anyone else’s rights.
• You give us permission to store, process (including the automatic Santa hat placement) and print your photo and words, only to make and send your order.
• We will never use your photo in our marketing without asking you first.
• We may refuse and fully refund an order we can’t print, for example a photo that is too small to print well, or content that is hateful, explicit or unlawful.

Payment

Payment is taken by Stripe when you place your order. Your order is confirmed once payment goes through.

Printing and shipping

• We print, pack and mail orders by hand in weekly batches. Orders are printed and packed within 7 business days, and most arrive within 14 business days of ordering.
• Every order ships by USPS with a tracking number, which you’ll find on our “Track your order” page.
• We aim to deliver orders placed by December 1 before Christmas, but carrier delays happen and we can’t guarantee a delivery date.
• Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If an order is returned to us because the address was incorrect, we’ll gladly send it again; the postage for the second delivery may be charged.
• If your tracking hasn’t moved for 10 days, or shows delivered but nothing arrived, email hello@dearmochi.com. We’ll work with USPS and, where we reasonably can, reprint and resend your order.

Changes and cancellations

You can cancel your order for a full refund within 24 hours of placing it, on our “Track your order” page, or by emailing hello@dearmochi.com with your order number. To change an order, cancel it and order again within that time. After 24 hours your order goes into production, and because it’s made just for you, we can’t cancel it after that.

Returns and refunds

• Because every set is personalized, we can’t accept returns if you change your mind.
• If your order arrives damaged, misprinted or not as you designed it, email hello@dearmochi.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We’ll reprint it or refund you, whichever you prefer.
• Refunds go back to your original payment method. Your bank may take a few days to show them.

Our responsibility

We work hard to get every order right. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be waived.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If we ever disagree, please email us first; most things can be fixed quickly. You can also bring a claim in small claims court.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future orders. The terms you agreed to when you ordered apply to that order.
